Bit unprofessional, if they wish to make an offer for a contracted player that isn't the way to do it. I think he is probably a bit out of his depth for the mess at Cas though and will be feeling the pressure.

They'd have to make it worth his while as he's apparently doing well in his job and would have to give that up to go full time.

Grade A club so safe from relegation. Another example of some of the nonsense IMG scoring categories where location sponsors' seats, big TV screens, car park and tv gantry size etc are what decides who goes in SL.

To be fair to him, I would like to see how he goes as a full time player. I would like him to get a chance at some point, assuming he wants it.

And scoring that favours the incumbents on crowds and TV exposure.

Can you imagine the p*ss that would be boiled if Wood was re-appointed at the RFL and then he fast tracked us back to Super League. Only in Rugby League could this happen.

If there are more than 12 teams with a grade A img rating, and they do not expand the league, then the lowest rated team would then drop out.

I take your point.... I just looked at the IMG recommendations and they say.....

"Category A' clubs will be guaranteed participation in the top tier......' but the superleague clubs keep ignoring the IMG recommendations (i.e. refusing to scrap loop fixtures) and indeed it seems likely they will refuse expansion recommendations too. I'm not sure what the point of hiring IMG was/is.

I hope he doesn't, even short term I doubt it will benefit him the Club or RFL in general, his time has gone, if anyone one should be fronting up it should Hetherington.

Indeed it does, as well as things like extra merchandise sales etc.

It does say that, but I bet there is a tiny * beside it - when you go to appendix 42, it says



* as long as the 12 A grade clubs have increased revenues across the board by improving the product and the game day experience which is the whole purpose of the IMG ratings and adding a 13th A grade club will increase revenues to all 13 clubs

It's a non-starter for me. The team is improving every season and on an upward trajectory. Castleford are the complete opposite of this.
