What are people’s genuine expectations for our great club in 2011?



Personally, I would like to see us pushing for a 4th or 5th place finish but would settle for simply making the play offs. A decent cup run is a must getting knocked before the 1/4 finals will be a major dissapointment, regardless of who we draw imo.



In reality, I expect us to be writing the season off by the middle of May and already looking to next season and also possibly for a new head coach.



Regardless of performances on the pitch, I expect the club to be doing everything in it’s power to get a marquee 7 signed and sealed for 2012 and beyond.

To finish top 5 this season will be harder than it was last season, realistically i can see Rovers, Bradford and us fighting out for 6/7/8 and a first round defeat in the playoffs.



The main thing i would like to see is a better for and against as never seem to beat a team by 20+ points.



The CC is too hard to call as we may draw Wigan away first off or could get NL sides up to the quarters.

Top 4....I am expecting 3rd...Very good cup run....Few shocked fans when new signings announced.

As for the coming season i can see us doing well in the cup possible 1/4 like you say or maybe with a few good draws go all the way





As for the league i would say deffo top 8 maybe even finish somewhere between 4th and 6th,if you look back on last season like someone said in a thread earlier,we lost some silly games to lesser teams so if we had of won them we would of deffo been top 4, if we put that right then who knows what could happen,westerman is a great signing as sharp is, both very young and they will fit in with the other youngsters coming through like cunningham,nicklas etc,plus the rest of the squad arent exactly pensioners,we will miss berro as i think he would of done a job in the centres but guess we must move on and i dont think for one minute that agar has been sat on his ar-e and not looking for replacements for him and burnett,im sure something will be announced as far as new signings go.

I'm seeing us as contenders for the top 3/4 (injuries permitting) and i don't see any reason why we can't have a visit to Wembley either.

We have on paper, a well gelled, stable squad who now know each other well and will have been brought up to speed in the off season.

Still convinced of a couple more signings yet to give us an extra edge and cushion injuries etc. A bit of a different feeling from last year but non-the less very optimistic.

Come on!!

I'm looking for:



A top 6 position in the league and a play off win.



A cup QF at the very least.



A number of comfortable wins (we've not had a 30+ league win since August 2007 or scored 50+ since April 2006).

Top three is the aim this year.

Challenge cup is what it is and knock out footie can throw anything in, but not a top of the list issue to be honest, the SL finish is what its all about this term to build ready for next year again off the back of a good run with a settled side.



I also expect very shortly a few very happy bunnies when the announcements come of new faces at the KC.



My biggest wish this term is no major injuries to give us continuity

If we are to make some signings does anybody know when we can expect any announcements.

It'll be the same sort of season to the one that's just gone , but I'd like to see Briscoe scoring 20 + tries , Settled 6/7 , More expansive rugby , and at least 200 more points in the + column.

how anybody can say that i have no idea.

Why don't you show us how much you know and tell us who were targeting ?

Don't see Hull's season being any different to last season, same applies to Rovers.

Expect = Average, mid table, plod



Want = none of the above, lets rip them up!

exactly what i think but i will be financially much better off so wont complain to much because the season pass was not renewed so will be choosing games wisely

lots of moaning on the forum as usual no coach,no idea,no pace, no flair,injuries,and lots of groupies say we arent that bad get behind the lads zzzzzzzzzzz

The worst four teams to watch imo along with ourselves unless we have improved in the new year which i dont envisage a massive turnaround tbh and the distinct lack of atmosphere when they are in town
