He's never going to be a halfback as long as he has a hole in his arris. If Houghton, Berrigan and, in all probability Tony, were fit he'd not get near the number 9 shirt. He's not as good in the back row as Washy, Whiting, or Horne (G), and that's before you consider the new arrival(s).



Personally, I much preferred Peter Lupton as a player, and he wasn't considered good enough. Lee will end up in a similar position to Luppers.

Said early last season Lee's best chance of regular SL football was as a hooker at another club. I think he could make it in SL in that position but he wont get the opportunities enough here. Don't see any other position for him to shine in including second row.

Lee will play probably because our hand is been forced in that they should rest Berrigan in my opinion.



However he is not good enough long term IMO, he's had enough time to prove himself. Feel sorry for him as his commitment is there, its just natural ability.



I agree with the earlier posts that he would be good for top end first division side or a team like Celtic or Salford.

If fully fit I'd play him as he's one of our best players, however agree if not 100% don't play.

If he is fit then we have to play Berrigan but if not then I have no issues with using Lee and Houghton as cover on Friday. Could then bring Washy back to the bench.

I don't think that is the case, people are just saying don't risk Berro unless he is fit, we don't want him making the injury worse.

Thats what everyone is saying. We are all also saying if he isnt 100% fit he doesnt play, thats no reflection on Castleford, its a reflection of our strong squad.

Absolutely. I'd go with Berrigan so long as he's 90-95% though. Castleford have a fair few quality players across the team this year IMO, but hooker is arguably not one of their strengths so Lee and Houghton should still be more than a match around the ruck.

Personally i can see why as i rate him as a hooker and he keeps their attack on the front foot.
