A city centre stadium would have been ideal or the thornes park stadium would have been perfect. NM is our best option now + it's a community sports facility not just a RL ground and is better place for away fans

Thornes Park would've been superb, unfortunately the council, perhaps understandably with hindsight, lost their bottle financially. I still hope they can get some sort of sports village minus the stadium located there. I know it was planned for housing in the LDF but i'm sure that got rejected.

The club was here before SL and the club will be here after SL. If the club goes down I will follow it.

We have a great RL history as a foundation to build on...I will be glad when we get a decision so we can move on, but will still be with the club either way.

Too true. I've followed them since 1963 and been a diehard rugby league fan. Nothing will change my support for Trinity or the game but the RFL and SL can kiss my booty. Sky subscription will go too and, in internationals it will be "ABE"!!

I'll follow Wakefield whichever division they're in. Even if we stay up I think the games corrupt, because for me sport can only be a sport if there are winners and losers that are decided on the pitch, not in offices. I'd like to say I won't be going to any more internationals in protest, but I gave up on those when Kiwis started playing for Great Britain and everyone started swtiching to countries they could get a game with then switching back when needed. At least it's not just the domestic game that's bent.

I will keep an interest in the club (if I ever visit england again I would probably go to a game)... will I watch British RL otherwise.... NO absolutely not... I might even buy my first Kangaroo shirt!

There's several clubs which have been stranded in the lower leagues who didn't finish in the relegation spot. It's nothing new. The fans of those clubs also share your disillusionment as to the RFL's reasoning behind it all and have done for many years. If the Wildcats do go down then they are simply the latest victim of this crazy system. Again it's nothing new.



But the Championship is a great competition and deserves far more credence than it currently gets. Did you see today's NR Final? Classic rugby League. Was it more entertaining than the weekend's televised SL games or not?

I'll have my season ticket no matter what. I support Trin, not superleague or the RFL.

If the worst happens I'll look forward to meeting new sets of fans and going to new watering holes!

Yes i did see the game, which was a great example of good passionate rugby. It was played in front of 2 passionate sets of fans.

I was responding to a Wakey fan who appeared to be taking for granted your return to SL in 3 years. IMO if the RFL manage to lose one of us this time the chances of both Cas and Wakey ever again being in SL together are virtually nil. If Cas survive this time and move to GH before the next franchise round I see no way back for you. However in the likely event of us still being at WR you could be in line to replace us as I suspect NM will materialise by 2015.



In other words Cas have a hell of a lot to do with your future and any thread about it.

Out of the clubs sacrificed for SL first season it was us fev and Widnes I think we got back up after 3 seasons Widnes later and been successful in franchise this season.if we do go down I hope instead of sitting back and being bitter we take widneses example of doing what the RFL requires only win more matches than they have. We have everything set up for SL just stadium let's us down and hopefully that will be resolved when NM comes back from pi. I know the RFL wants a strong Wakefield in SL.

I did watch the cc final yesterday good match watched by a good well behaved crowd. Season ticket for me whatever league Wakefield forever

I went to Nottingham Uni, came back many weekends to watch Wakey, moved to Lincoln when married and again we came back most weekends for the rugby, moved nearer, Bradford and again were drawn home. Moved back to Wakey and brought 2 boys into the world who played rugby for a while and went to games and all the events of the junior supporters I ran almost single handedly with help from such as Mr & Mrs Big Al. My boys stopped watching and now my hubby rarely attends, the last few games I have almost had to drag myself there. Wakey has been so much part of my life and has always drawn me back but the RFL have spoilt the game for me we are further away from the Aussies than ever, the 2 games this weekend on tv were dire and its ' have to visit a old relative' feeling watching Wakey at the moment which am sure its because of 26th July hanging over us . lets hope it can once more be enjoyable ...I must admit we do have a good laugh where we stand regardless of the 'action'on the pitch

I have watched Trinity for 50 years. I have nowhere else to go at 3.30 on a sunday.. I have watched therm at Huyton infront of a crowd of 200 and still enjoyed the game.If it is a choice between free flowing rugby in the championship or 5 drives and a kick and still getting thrashed in the SL i know which i prefer. This has been the most boring season out of the 50 and JK is the main one to blame. We started with a group of young lads who were giving 100% and although we only won 3 games in the first 10 we were competing in most of them .Then JK started to pick unfit players who did not deserve their place in the team . ( first Jeremy Smith , then the disastrous Hickey signing , then Tadulala ) Young guns realised giving 100% was not enough to get you selected,you need the antipodean accent. There was no point in busting a gut , you needed a beer gut to get picked. I think even the young lads who WERE getting picked every week like Mariano realised the club was a laughing stock and performances suffered as a result. If we had stuck with the early selection policy we may not have won many more games but the games would have been worth watching. Roll on the Championship because one thing we all know is that the likes of J Smith Hickey and Tadulala wont want to stay at championship wages because they are not here for the rugby just the beer money.
