I don’t think we run out of bodies and we were right in that till around 50 minutes.
What let us down in that game was two things for me and it wasn’t the lack of forwards at all.
1. The discipline and errors. That second half we continually squandered possession in the kr half and turned over cheap ball. That led to inviting KR on our line way more than needed.
2. The spine shuffle half time with moving positions. That affected our attack a lot and defence on the left was left short more than a few times.
Honestly though I thought Lino was excellent last week but this week he cost us dearly with stray passing, kicking out on full etc. it led to a number of pressure sets on our line. He will I’m sure come back strong.
I thought we gifted KR that game more than them taking it. We continually invited them onto our line and it told a few times on the edges.
All those things are exacerbated by not having regular middles.Even in the first half we were under pressure as we couldn't get any field position. It was just that we were good enough with the ball to score when we got chances. Peters said post match that his tactic in second half was to rush our half backs to cut out our best plays. It worked and we had to push passes and hold down which cost us. Rovers were just better than us. We didn't have enough forwards to keep the pressure on. | | |

Rhyse Martin has been charged with a Grade E Head contact AND un-necessary contact with a player who is, or may be, injured after a hit on Max on Friday !!!
I've just seen the video clip but don't remember it from Friday night....did we even get a penalty from it, cos the head contact looks bad but then he just tugs Max's shirt while he is laid injured on the ground ??
I remember it because it was near the start of the game and I remember thinking oh not again, Max has gone down, same as last week. Then the Hull KR player grabbed his shirt and tried to pull him up when he was face down, which I thought was a penalty anyway when someone goes down hurt, especially with a head injury, but the ref just waved play on. Then Max stayed down and our medical team came on to see him. Didn't see who it was at the time and haven't watched it back. Different incident the Martin issue was in the second half Nah, this was the one,. tbh i'm imagining what I said, i didn't even get home till half time and started watching then. That's probably why it seemed it was near the start, even though it was 15 mins into the second half. I actually thought it was worse than that though, i 've got a memory of him lifting him up slightly by the shirt while he was face down, but it was more of a pull on the shirt. Sill a no no when someone could be injured but I've seen way worse. | | | |

I can't remember saying one way or the other what card I thought he should have got, so why are you assuming? As I already said putting your hands on someone who's face down is a no-no in RL because they don't know what kind of injury they have. Just because I said I've seen worse matters little. | | |

It's a pretty clear rule and there to protect players.
Usually get a ban for it.
Pretty silly considering this was his first day back for a while.
